First few photos for the new project

Posted in The Dog Models Project on May 30, 2007 by mirkawolf

Recently I started new project – photographing dogs for postcard or even calendar use. The more dogs and the more photos of them, the better, as the variety of breeds is welcomed, and in fact, greatly desired by the customer. From the first shooting, that happened to be on grey, rainy day (who´d expect that in Belgium..) came some very nice shots. Few examples here:

Pet photography is not only about photographing the obvious and most popular pets, such as dogs and cats. All animals are interesting, and I don´t avoid any. Here I photographed tiny laboratory mouse. Now, isn´t Mickey cute?

Wedding of my sister

Posted in Uncategorized on May 16, 2007 by mirkawolf

Photographing a wedding is definatelly event, that should be left to profesionals. But what can you do, when your own sister asks you for your service? And so I ended photographing a wedding of my beautiful sister Ivana and her fiancé Vasek. The newly married couple and the family are happy with the photos, so I am happy too. But don´t say “wedding photography” in front of me any soon!

During my short vacation in Czech Republic I visited kennel Dogmania, where I had fantastic opportunity to shoot some photos of these beautiful dogs. I am very interested in this breed and I was very happy to discuss about it with the breeder and chairman of the Czech club for Pyrenean Mountain Dogs, Stepanka Hradkova. My favorite pyr was Artemis (on the photos).

Brabo Dog Show in Antwerp

I´ve photographed so many things recently, that I will spend several days, maybe even weeks in processing all the photos. I will keep posting here some of the best shots, but it will take time. In April, I visited the Brabo Dog Show in Antwerpen to see a few Czechoslovakian wolfdogs that were signed up.
